I developed the brand identity and podcast cover illustration for Bar Afrique, a history podcast that explores stories of Africa’s decolonization through conversation, humor, and drink culture. The goal was to create a visual identity that feels approachable and engaging—more like a lively night out with friends than a traditional history lecture.
The design leans into playful illustration, hand-drawn typography, and bold color to reflect the podcast’s witty and conversational tone. For the cover art, a spilling cocktail forms the abstract shape of the African continent, visually linking the show’s themes of drinks and revolutionary history. The result is a vibrant, character-driven identity that captures both the warmth of storytelling and the cultural depth of the subject matter.
